Project Challenge

The Golden Glades Interchange (GGI), located in northeastern Miami-Dade County, serves as a crucial hub, connecting five major transportation routes: State Road (SR) 9A/I-95, SR 826/Palmetto Expressway, Florida’s Turnpike, SR 9, and SR 7/US 441. Stretching over 10 miles, the GGI is a critical point of convergence for thousands of daily commuters. With more than 400,000 vehicles passing through daily, the interchange is already plagued by significant congestion, and traffic is projected to increase by 50 percent by 2040. Without these necessary improvements, congestion is expected to worsen, further impacting the region’s mobility.

As the project transforms this key interchange over the next seven years, a core challenge will be ensuring effective communication with a diverse range of stakeholders. This includes commuters, regional visitors, the freight and transit communities, and tourists, all of whom must be kept informed about project developments and traffic changes. Addressing these needs requires a team of highly experienced communications professionals capable of delivering timely, clear, and accurate information across multiple channels.

Our strategy includes media campaigns, social media engagement, and high-quality video content, all designed to keep the community informed and guide them through traffic changes. We also ensure that all information is accessible through multilingual communications, catering to the diverse Miami-Dade population.

In addition to digital outreach, we engage directly with the community through regular pop-up events and presentations, offering residents, commuters, and visitors the opportunity to ask questions, share feedback, and stay updated on the project’s progress. This hands-on approach fosters strong community connections and ensures stakeholders remain well-informed.
